Mauritius Visa Requirements
There are certain documents that you must have prior to traveling to Mauritius. Among these include a valid passport that has been in operation for about 6months and an on-ward ticket or even a return ticket. Passengers or visitors are not allowed to stay in Mauritius for more than six months. Below are the documents that you must present at the immigration;
*A valid passport with an expiry date of not less than six months, this should not go beyond the agreed date
*In possession of a return ticket to your home country.
* Offering confirmed reservation for accommodation in Mauritius for instance lodge or hotel booking done by a citizen of Mauritius must be well acknowledged.
*You must have enough money on your bank account to facilitate your stay in the country.
*You are kindly not allowed to participant in any profitable businesses.
*Visa Application must have the following attached;
-Photocopy of residence with a valid visa of three months if applicable.
-Two passport size photos
-Photocopy of the first four pages of passport.
The whole process of producing these documents takes about five working days to have everything ready.
Persons under these categories will not need visas;
-People staying in Mauritius and have the Immigration Act.
-Spouse of a citizen of Mauritius.
-People with diplomatic passports offered in by the following governments for example Yemen, Afghanistan, Sudan, Iraq, Libya, Algeria, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
-Mauritius Citizens.
-Vessel groups heading on operation or traveling to join another vessel.
-Recognized international organization allowed includes United Nations as well as Laissez-Passer holders by the SADC.
Preparing the Required Documents for Your Visa Application
